Why I hate the IRS
because once again, for the fourth year, I owe them money. no matter how i try to make sure this won't happen it always does. off i go to sign a check that will inevitably go to support a war i don't agree with. blasted april 15th.

I really hate the IRS too. It seems that the people they try and live the "right" way ends up getting screwed and paying for the ones that are ripping off the government. I own a little business and its hard working for yourself with the insurance and all. There is no help from the government other than uncle sam wanting my hard earned money.
Let's not hate the IRS. Let's hate the legislation. They are the people WE put in office to sufficate our GOD given rights. The IRS just follows some stupid unconstitutional laws. And somehow they are supposed to protect US from the power of government...go figure. Send a note to Congress, every day, and tell them you want the IRS removed from power!
yes the irs is amazing...I am a single divorced women that earns about 35,000 and i got stuck with an incredible bill this year of 2800 approx. now i work 3 jobs and go none stop...i have enougth to just make and some times i want to take a bridge. But they cant get me down..I still work out and eat every now and then when i can afford it....but remember I have my freedom......lovely

Well the IRS is doing me in! Got into a scrape with them back in the mid 90's and it just NEVER stops. They destroyed my credit so bad that I've only been able to work 4 of the last 8 years (try to get a job when you owe them!!!). Things have gotten so bad now that I see myself with only three choices:
1. become a homeless vagrant --or-- 2. do something illegal to make money (scam artist, drug dealer, etc.) --or-- 3. Die [tgm]
Here is my story. I am a musician who came from another country to US 15 years ago in hope to make my dreams come true in music here. Of course I was very naive, because instead of this I had to learn how to survive in this country in order to pay my bills. I worked really hard at jobs that I would not want to do, but I was saying to myself that the day will come and I will be able to do finally what I really enjoy doing. IRS did not touch me for the first 10 years and then it started. Each year they harras me with letters that I owe them money. It came up to the point that I owe them around $8,000 now for the year 2005 in which I earned only $23,000! I have a lot of problems in this country even without IRS in my life. On the top of this now I have this $8,000 debt... I think the whole idea to come to live to US was a huge mistake. I've never worked so much in my life like I did for this last 15 years in US, sometimes 7 days a week. But, I still don't have any savings. Now I live with my elderly mother and try to support her, but IRS really just trying to choke me. I don't know how long I will be able to tolerate all this, before I decide to go back.
My husband is a service member who had his identity stolen and someone filed a false tax return in his name. We fought them for months even though he is a govt employee and has been for years - to prove he was the real John before they finally gave us our money.
Now this year no one filed under his name but they are refusing us our money AGAIN saying they need to make sure the real John filed this year. Even though its once again a govt employee filing his taxes as he has every year for 8 years he has been in service. ITs been over 2 months and they still are refusing us our money !!!!!!!!!!
I love the ground we stand on but its too G damb expensive to live in. I hate the IRS just like the next person, but what can "We The People" do about it.......NOTHING!
This is what making an honest living gets you in this country. Our government is too powerful to compete with. I have no idea what to do, they have a levy on my wages and have cleared out my account. When will the cycle end? i have an education and a good job but still i cannot get ahead.
I ask the Tax payers of this country, HELP! We need a plan, Donald Trump said and I quote "You will never be as rich as me making and honest living, their are too many people trying to do, so this make the market too big" We need everybody that has access to a computer on a regular basis to come together and come up with a plan to get our money back that we so deserve. If you have time at home contact your congressmen and help those who support your home by going to work everyday to try to make ends meet, while ther are working try to come up with a plan.
I wish I could say that I didn't hate the IRS because they were just doing their job of keeping people honest and paying but unfortunately my husband and I are those honest paying people who got stuck with the worst of worst auditors that wants us to pay over $8000 just in fees! Some people told me this was just to scare us but we have done everything he has asked and gotten him every document for the past 4 months and he has not dropped anything...only gotten worse. This is a nightmare and has caused me sooo much stress. I don't understand why they want to find the little mistake with honest peoples taxes and won't go after the ones who really intentionally screwed them. Does anyone know a way to expose a terrible auditor that should not work for our government?
Oh there is no mistaking how much I hate the IRS. I have a small business that has about 15 employees. I pay their health insurance, I give them vacation and personal days. I got behind on some taxes because the people that were suppose to pay me, have failed to do so. I have to pay my men to work in order to eventually collect the money that is due me. When I explained this to the agent, he agreed that if I filled out a bunch of paperwork and work with my accountant, we could setup a payment plan to pay those back taxes (and I DO pay the current taxes every week) - well today they locked up my business bank account and took any and all money that was there (which was already put away for bills). Now I have no way to pay my men this week, their health insurance check bounced because the IRS took the funds - so If i dont pay them, the work doesn't get done, and I don't collect payments so that I can pay the IRS. How is a person suppose to survive, especially as a busines owner?? Plus the fact that the penalty and interest are almost as much as the taxes due. I just hate the IRS and what this country has become.

I hate the IRS and the governement that supports their illegal activities. Maybe that guy in texas the other week had a good idea. Possibly violence is the only way to make people take notice to the cruelity that is the IRS and our beloved government.
